Myndlift is an app that retrains your brain to improve your daily performance. Through the app and the specialized Muse headset, we can monitor and record real-time displays of your brain’s activity, which helps it learn how to self-regulate and change disruptive behavior to improve your mental clarity. At NeuroZone, speech-language pathologist Erin Badour has helped many clients improve their mental performance and address several conditions with this innovative software. In this article, we will review some case studies involving real patients who found success with Myndlift.

How Myndlift Works

Myndlift has users complete a series of games while monitoring brain activity to improve their focus, mental health, and daily performance. Myndlift users wear a specialized headset that monitors brain activity in real time. While completing the games, the information gathered by the headset will allow Myndlift to adjust game pacing and difficulty as needed, continually challenging your mental abilities to improve your cognition.

Neurofeedback

Myndlift relies on a therapeutic method called neurofeedback. Neurofeedback is the process of self-monitoring brain activity in real time, as if your brain were looking in a mirror, allowing it to better understand its own activity and areas needing improvement. (1) The brain is just like any other muscle, and neurofeedback provides data that can be used to help train it to become stronger, healthier, and more efficient.

Myndlift for PTSD

Crystal, a registered nurse, was able to address symptoms of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) with Myndlift. After a traumatic experience, Crystal was left with racing thoughts and anxious feelings that would not go away. Myndlift helped her improve her relationships and work performance. After consistent Myndlift treatments, she no longer felt the need to withdraw from family and friends, and she felt more emotionally balanced in her daily life.

“The experience was incredible,” she told the Myndlift team. “The results review was almost funny because it felt like someone was telling me things about myself that I’ve never shared with anyone.” (2)

Myndlift for ADHD

Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) affects more than 366 million people worldwide, (1) and countless adults may not realize they have it. ADD/ADHD can have a significant impact on focus, social relationships, and quality of life. Several users have reported improvements in focus, emotional health, and physical health after completing a personalized Myndlift treatment protocol.

Laila, a client whose Neuro Coach recommended Myndlift, found that her stress levels decreased after treatment and her concentration levels improved.

Laila told the Myndlift team, “My sleep has improved after a very short time of using it, and I feel more in control of where my attention is going.” (3)

Myndlift for Anxiety

Myndlift can help you manage your anxiety by retraining your brain to reduce stress and disrupt negative, distracting thought patterns. Approximately 40 million adults in the United States have an anxiety disorder, highlighting the need for effective yet accessible treatments. (4) Unregulated, chronic anxiety can increase your risk of developing stress-related diseases and physical and psychiatric conditions that affect your quality of life, and it can significantly lower sleep quality. (5) While you sleep, cerebrospinal fluid cleanses the brain, (5) and ensuring that you get adequate rest (7-8 hours each night) is vital for ridding the brain of toxins. In addition to helping you address anxiety with Myndlift, we may also recommend Neuro meditation, a therapy that helps improve mental clarity, mindfulness, and self-regulation while reducing disruptive thought patterns.

Myndlift for Cognitive Function

Myndlift’s most widely-reported benefits are enhanced focus and cognitive function improvements. Whether seeking improvements in mental health or enhancing an already-sharp mind, nearly all users see improvements in emotional regulation, mental clarity, and performance. Others see improvements after traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) create brain inflammation that impacts their daily performance.

Manpreet, a client who received neurofeedback training after a brain injury, said, “Myndlift has been a lifesaver. I have seen massive improvements in my brain functioning and day-to-day abilities. I use it to heal and manage minor brain injury and multiple concussions.” (3)

Benefits of Myndlift

There are several benefits to Myndlift, some of which include:

  • Improved productivity: Improving your focus will improve your ability to perform daily tasks and help you accomplish more.
  • Convenient treatment: Myndlift is a completely non-invasive therapy that has users complete games and puzzles in their free time from anywhere.
  • Increased mental clarity: As you complete games, the neurofeedback data will promote better concentration and impulse control while reducing brain fog.
  • Improved daily life: Myndlift users see their everyday performance and mental well-being significantly improve after only a few sessions.
  • Better sleep quality: Addressing mental health concerns will lead to deeper, more restful sleep, helping you feel more energized.
  • Less stress: Myndlift not only helps reduce stress, but it also helps users improve their self-regulation and stress management strategies.

Myndlift is not meant to replace therapy or mental health medications, but it can help users see significant results sooner alongside them. Certain users, like epileptics or photosensitive clients, may not be recommended for Myndlift because of its audio/visual interface, but a consultation with Erin Badour will help to clarify any concerns and establish candidacy.

Consultation

Your personalized Myndlift protocol begins with a consultation with Erin Badour. During this meeting, Erin will ask about your mental health symptoms, diagnosed conditions, improvement goals, medical history, and more. She will discuss your concerns in depth and ask about how you are managing day-to-day tasks.

If you feel triggered by an event, we can discuss how to navigate and address this as you use Myndlift. With all of this information collected, Erin will create a personalized treatment protocol, including how often you should use Myndlift, the length of your treatment, and more.

The results of your treatment will depend on your mental health symptoms and your overall treatment goals. As you progress through your Myndlift protocol, you will notice improved emotional regulation, stress management, mental clarity, and more, all of which will help you enjoy gradual improvements in your quality of life. Most clients see the best results after using Myndlift for several months, as retraining your brain can take up to 12 weeks and 30-40 sessions. Paired with healthy habits, regular exercise, and adequate sleep, you can enjoy long-lasting results. Because using Myndlift will become a habit after a while, many clients see continuous improvements with continued use even after their recommended protocol length is over.

Brain Mapping

Erin may have you undergo brain mapping to better optimize your Myndlift protocol. Brain mapping is a diagnostic process that creates a digital image of the activity in different parts of your brain. This helps professionals better analyze the structure of your brain and its activity, allowing us to better address the repetitive behaviors and thought patterns you wish to improve.

Cost of Myndlift in Southern California and Beyond

Contact NeuroZone online or call (310) 821-3640 to reach any of our Southern California offices directly to schedule your consultation with Erin and explore how Myndlift can change your life.
